PIERRE ADENOT

After a solid classical training at the Conservatoire de Lyon (violin, oboe, composing), an advanced jazz apprenticeship with Clare Fischer and a first collaboration with the Louis’ Trio Affair (Victoire de la Musique, 1987), he becomes an essential arranger and orchestrator of the French musical landscape.

A true cinema enthusiast, admirer of Michel Legrand, Bernard Hermann and John Williams, he distinguishes himself very quickly in the composition of original music for the cinema. He collaborates with Jean-Pierre Améris (ROMANTICS ANONYMOUS, 2010 ; LES AVEUX DE L’INNOCENT, 1996), Sam Karmann (TRUE ENOUGH, 2006 ; KENNEDY AND I, 1999), Alexander Payne et Wes Craven (PARIS I LOVE YOU, 2006).

In 2014 he composes the music fort the film BEAUTY AND THE BEAST directed by Christophe Gans, which will become an international success. The following year, he signs the original music of Rémi Bezançon’s feature film OUR FUTURES.

Pierre Adenot recently composed the music of the documentary series THE ADVENTURERS OF MODERN ART (2015) directed by Amélie Harrault, Pauline Gaillard and Valérie Loiseleux, winner of the 2015 Best Documentary Award from the French Critics Syndicate, as well as that of the Best Documentary Series at the Audiovisual Club.

Since 2011, he has been illustrating with music the prestigious Cartier commercials (THE ODYSSEY) directed by Bruno Aveillon.

In parallel with his cinematographic activity, Pierre Adenot has never ceased to write arrangements with rich and subtle colors for the French and international variety music. He collaborated with L’Affaire Louis’ Trio (album « Mobilis in Mobile » gold record), Stephan Eicher (album « Engelberg », platinum record), Johnny Hallyday, Charles Aznavour, or more recently Calogero, successively on the album « Symphonic Version » then the album « Fireworks » (platinum disc).

Winner of many awards Pierre Adenot is regularly invited as a member of the Jury at the La Baule Film and Music Festival, the Valence International Screenwriters Festival and the Aubagne Music and Cinema Festival …

He received the 2015 SACEM GRAND PRIX, which honors his career as a film music composer.

“A real fantastic climate, honed and shimmering of richly embellished themes, spectacular orchestrations where every instrument shines brightly, blazed action parts. What a wonderful adornment for Gans’ film!”

Olivier Desbrosses, Chief Editor for UnderScores, 2014

“Pierre Adenot and I had a delightful time during the creation of my segment of Paris I love you. Due to our short schedule he had very little time to do his work, and yet wrote a beautifully haunting score that fit the drama perfectly and brought beauty and light to the segment. He was a pleasure to work with and is a truly gifted composer.”
